FC Shakhtar Museum is the largest sports and interactive museum in Ukraine. In 2012, it became a finalist of the prestigious European Museum of the Year Award 2012 and was one of the 45 best museums in Europe.Bright exposition reflects in detail all stages of formation and development of the Donetsk team — from the team that represented mining region, to a club of European level. In the museum showcases of five historical halls there are trophies of the team, personal awards of football players and coaches, the playing uniform of the team from different periods, rare historical documents and photographs. The centerpiece of the museum is the UEFA Cup, which the Miners won in May 2009, and the 23-meter Wall of Fame, along which are placed original prints of the palms and feet of the legendary players and coaches of Shakhtar, cast from metal.
