Consciously or unconsciously, from their own permission or from someone else's voice, but everyone, hearing Frank's name, raises his hat, regardless of his place of birth. This is where the instinct of greatness works.” So Yevgeny Malanyuk once said.
By the will of history, Ivan Franko is a universal Ukrainian genius who, through his ascetic work and titanic multifaceted activities, was able to realize his own potential in various fields.
In the person of Ivan Franko, the Ukrainian people received a spiritual and intellectual fighter for freedom and national justice.
To better understand the figure of the artist, together with him we continue to evolve in time, in history; we absorb new experiences and explore human progress; we come to work and new achievements.
The “FrankovI” project, implemented with the support of the UCF, aims to promote Ukrainian cultural heritage and preserve the historical and cultural heritage of the Franko family. The names of some of the personalities of this project are quite well-known, and some of them you may not have heard of, but this does not make their life stories uninteresting, but their achievements are weightless and unimportant. The circle of these people is much wider than the framework of the project.
The apartment-museum of the Ivan Franko family in Kyiv was opened in November 2016 on the initiative of Kamenyar's grandson Roland Franko. This museum institution was created in the house where in 1950 the Soviet authorities voluntarily forcibly relocated the family of Taras Franko from Lviv.
The museum consists of five halls, which contain archival documents, photographs from the family archive, partially reflect the life of the family, interior items, letters, typefaces and drawings. There is also an exposition dedicated to Ivan Franko, who was in Kyiv three times (in 1885, 1886 and 1909), and his children: Andrei, Peter, Taras and Anna, whose life is connected with Kyiv.
