Museum of the Volyn Icon in Lutsk is a department of the Volyn Museum of Local Lore, the only museum in Ukraine that represents the original regional school of Volyn icon painting. It exhibits both the icons themselves and the robes of icons, church utensils, royal gates, icon kiosks, sculptures. The creation of the collection is associated with the name of the famous Ukrainian art historian Pavel Zholtovsky (1904—1986), who led the scientific expeditions of Volyn Krai museum of the 1980s for the study and collection of historical and cultural monuments in the temples of Volyn. Since 2001, the museum has been located in a separate building.
