Museum-apartment of Pavel Tychyna

Literary and Memorial Museum-Apartment of P. G. Tychyny is a museum of Ukrainian poet Pavel Tychyna, founded in Kyiv in 1979, opened to visitors on January 27, 1980. Literary and Memorial Museum-Apartment of P. G. Tychyny in the city of Kyiv (LMMK P. G. Tychyny) is an institution that is located in the memorial residence of one of the most famous Ukrainian poets of the twentieth century, language and literary critic, translator, academician of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, state and public figure, laureate of the Taras Shevchenko State Prize (m. Kyiv, str. Tereshchenkivska, 5, sq. 1, 3).

Pavlo Grigorovich Tychyna (1891—1967) lived in Kyiv from 1913 to 1923, from 1934 to 1941 and 1944 to September 16, 1967. During this time, the poet changed several dwellings: a shooting “corner” in the future mother-in-law K. K. Paparuk at ul. Kuznechnaya (actual st. Antonovycha), 107; apartment in the house “Rolit” str. Lenin, 68 (approx. Bogdan Khmelnitsky). In 1943, P. Tychyna was appointed as a drug addict of education of the USSR [Telnyuk. S. 329]. In this regard, the poet was given new housing — an apartment in a house on the street. Chudnovskogo, 5 (old st. Tereshchenkivska).

After the death of Pavel Tychyna (September 16, 1967), Lydia Petrovna Paparuk, the widow of the poet, became the sole hostess of the apartment. Understanding the significance of the figure of Tychyna in the literary space of Ukraine and the world determined the special attitude of Lydia Petrovna to the apartment, which continued to preserve the unique spirit of Tychynov's genius. By the efforts of this woman, not only the creative heritage of the poet, his archive and library were preserved, but also the atmosphere of the dwelling, which was organized by Pavel Grigorievich. The last will of Lydia Petrovna was to create a museum on the basis of the apartment.

After the death of Lydia Petrovna in 1975, the Government of the USSR created the Commission on the Creative Heritage of Pavel Tychyna, headed by the then chairman of the Writers' Union of Ukraine Vasyl Kozachenko. For several years, specialists in archival affairs and museum experts have organized the archive and memorial items of the poet: furniture, household items, painting, etc. On January 9, 1979, the Resolution of the Central Committee of the KPU and the Council of Ministers of the USSR (No. 11) “On the creation of a literary memorial in the city of Kyiv was issued Museum-apartment of P. G. Thistles”.

For visitors, the museum opened its doors on January 27, 1980. In 1990, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Pavel Tychyna's birthday, the exposition was returned to apartment number 3, where the poet lived. Until this time, the memorial items and the library, due to a number of circumstances, were located in apartment No. 1.

For almost four decades of the museum's activity, it was headed by Pavel Tychyna's niece Irina Bludo, great-niece Tatyana Viktorivna Sosnovska, Grigory Grigorovich Donets. Since December 2016, the position of Director has been held by Slyziuk Yevhenia Volodymyrivna.

The exposition of the museum is located in five rooms of the memorial apartment of P. G. Stamens. It is based on the ensemble principle, which allowed to preserve the maximum authenticity of the placement of objects in the interiors and preserve the “presence” of the poet. Books, musical instruments, art collection (works by O. Shovkunenka, M. Glushchenko, V. Kasiyana, M. Deregusa, O. Kulchytska, Yu. Mikhailov et al.). Here the clarinet is exhibited — a profile musical instrument on which P. Tychyna played during his studies at the Chernihiv Seminary. This musical instrument became iconic in the work of the artist — the first collection of poetry by P. Tychyny, published in 1918 (in fact 1919), was called “Solar Clarinets”, and literary critics characterize the very style of Tychyna's early poetry with a special term — “clarnetism”. In the apartment, visitors can discover Tychyna — an artist. Here are 12 drawings of the poet, including a self-portrait, made in different periods of life. The interiors are decorated with family photos and a significant number of works of folk decorative arts: carpets, ceramics, embroidery, wooden objects decorated with carvings.

The exposition also reflects the life of the Ukrainian creative intelligentsia of the mid-twentieth century. Among the memorial items, dishes, appliances, furniture, as well as exclusive status items, gifts from colleagues from around the world are preserved.

Memorial Library of P. The stamens have 21101 copies of printed products, most of which are books. Although they are located throughout the exposition, much of it is exhibited in the same room. To the library of P. The stamps include old prints (Works of Erasmus of Rotterdam 1729), a selection of Ukrainian, European, Eastern classics in originals and translations, works on history and literary studies, a huge amount of reference literature. Special attention should be paid to the author's copies of the life publications of P. Stamens: his collections, translations, publications, housed in two bookcases.

The main fund includes part of the manuscript heritage and archive of the poet (the rest is the foundation of P. Stings in TsDAMLM), among which are autographs of poetry, diary entries and notes of P. Stamens; correspondence with his wife, brothers, cultural figures, other persons. Documented memories of the poet, manuscripts of works dedicated to P. Tichini.

A separate storage group consists of photographs and negatives, capturing various moments of the hero's life.

A significant part of the main fund is represented by a collection of works of fine art. These are the works of V. Vecherskogo, S. Vovka, M. Grokha, V. Lopaty, V. Pumpkin, etc.
