National Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II

The idea and decision to create a Museum of the History of War in Kiev arose in the June days of 1943, when fierce battles were still going on to expel the Nazi occupiers from the territory of Ukraine. Nevertheless, the priority tasks of reconstruction, development of the economy and the social sphere postponed the implementation of this issue until the mid-seventies of the last century.
