The basis for its creation was the historical fact that at the end of the XIX - the beginning of the XX century, families of prominent Ukrainian artists lived in the close neighborhood - Lesya Ukrainka, Mykola Lysenko, Mykhailo Starytsky, Panas Saksagansky, who then presented the culture of the Nadnepryanskaya region at its highest Qualities. The museum expositions are housed in memorial houses that have survived to our time, they are the natural limits of the territory of the Museum, which has been granted the status of a protected area, and which is a real oasis among the bustling urban life. Visitors and guests of the Museum have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the exquisite atmosphere of the life of the Ukrainian intelligentsia of the late XIX — early.
