Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art of Korsaki

The Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art of Korsaki is located in Lutsk, on the territory of the Cultural and Entertainment Center “Adrenalin City”. The grand opening took place on August 24, 2018.

The Museum of Korsaki was created in order to develop the spirituality of the nation, to promote Ukrainian art in the world through the presentation of bright creative achievements of the artistic culture of the 20th century, to acquaint visitors with contemporary art through author's projects, installations, performances.
The Korsakov family became the founder and inspirer of the creation of the first world-class museum of contemporary Ukrainian art in Ukraine.

The total area of the first stage of the museum complex is about 5,000 sq. m and contains a number of exhibition halls. The area of permanent exhibition occupies 3000 sq. m.

The museum presents the works of more than 100 outstanding artists (more than 800 art objects). Painting, graphics, sculpture, installation, video art — here is a collection of works of art by the best Ukrainian authors of the XX — XXI centuries.

The ideological beginning of the creation of a private museum was the Gallery of Contemporary Art “Art Department”, which opened in April 2014 and during its work held dozens of exhibitions, cultural and artistic sures, creative competitions. In 2016, the Gallery organized the art forum “WestArt Forum UA” and co-organizer of the festival of contemporary urban art “PolyChroma”.

In July 2018, the Art and Memorial Museum of Nikolai Kumanovsky was opened, which became a structural unit of the Museum.

The extensive program of exhibition, educational, scientific research and publishing activities carried out by the Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art of Korsaki reflects current processes in Ukrainian culture and opens up opportunities for public dialogue and creation of new works.
