Byshev Historical and Local Lore Museum

Byshev Historical and Local Lore Museum is a historical and local history museum in the village. Byshiv, Fastiv district, Kyiv region; collection of materials and objects from the history, culture and personalities of the Byshev territorial community.Museum of History of p. Byshiv was founded in 1983 by the history teacher of Byshev High School Valery Obukhivsky. Today the museum is certified by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, has the honorary title “Exemplary”. The museum funds collect up to 1500 exhibits, which are systematized by sections: archaeological, medieval, ethnographic, 20-30 years of the twentieth century, World War II, socio-economic development of the village in 1950-1990, present.The museum conducts excursion, educational work among school students and residents village residents, replenishes funds by searching expeditions, hikes, archives. Visitors to the museum are students of schools of the district, the city. Kyiv, citizens of Russia, Poland, Italy, Germany and the United States got acquainted with its exposition. In December 2011, the scientific conference “Magdeburg Law in Kyiv Region” was held on the basis of the museum, dedicated to the 430th anniversary of the assignment of Magdeburg law to the town of Byshev. The presentations were made by the teachers of Kyiv University named after. Taras Shevchenko, scientists from the Institute of History of Ukraine of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the National Union of Local Linguists of Ukraine. The newspaper “Slovo Prosvity” wrote about the work of the Byshev Historical and Local Lore Museum, and a number of television companies filmed the plots. In particular, this is a documentary film from the cycle “There is such a village in Ukraine”, DTRK “Culture” (June 2008), TV programs “Village Council”, TV channel 1+1, "New Ukraine”, First National (respectively, September and December 2010).
