Chernigov Literary and Memorial Museum-Reserve M. M. Kotsyubinskogo

Literary and memorial museum-reserve, dedicated to the life and work of the outstanding Ukrainian writer of the beginning of the twentieth century Mikhail Mikhailovich Kotsyubinsky, housed in the former private house of the writer in the city of Chernihiv; cultural center of the city.Now Chernihiv literary and literary memorial museum-reserve of M. M. Kotsyubinsky consists of the memorial house of the writer, the modern building of the literary exposition and the Kotsiubynsky memorial garden; in front of the building is the writer's chest. The memorial residence of Mikhail Kotsiubynsky is the centerpiece of the museum exposition. In this house the writer settled with his family in the summer of 1898 and spent 15 of his last, most fruitful years here, because in the “Chernihiv period” the classicist wrote his best works — “Intermezzo”, “Apple Blossom”, “Dear Price”, “Praise of Life”, “Fata morgana”, “Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors”, which brought the author world fame; actively participated in the public and cultural life of Chernigov. A small one-story wooden house of M. M. Kotsyubinsky stands in the middle of the Chepur courtyard. On the outer door, at the entrance, there is a bronze plaque with the engraved inscription: “Mikhail Mikhailovich Kotsyubinsky”.
