Theodosius Museum of Antiquities

The funds of the Theodosius Museum of Antiquities number more than 70 thousand units of exhibits.The eight halls of the museum contain not only archaeological monuments, but also a lot of ethnographic and documentary materials and testimonies, collections of ancient species postcards, minerals, fossils, herbarium y.Unique dioramas of nature halls give an idea of the natural landscapes and riches of South-Eastern Crimea.Part of the rich collection of ancient stone slabs is located in the open air on the original lapidary courtyard of the institution, the rest of which is covered with medieval slabs and fragments of the city paving of the XIX — 1st half of the XX centuries.On the initiative of the former mayor of Feodosia V. O. Shaiderov raises the question of restoring a separate Theodosius Museum of Antiquities (Antiquities). Currently (since the mid-2000s) research work is being carried out on the project, for which half a hectare of land has been allocated, in order to implement the project, the city authorities opened a bank account to collect funds.
