city Gorodok
Shevchenka St, 20/1
The museum tells visitors about the universe, nature, geography and history. This is a museum that is ahead of time. In terms of technical equipment, it is the best. Innovative, interesting for everyone: from “botan” to “teapot”, regardless of age and target audiences!
A few years ago, no one could have imagined that a small and ordinary, at first glance, town with the simple name Gorodok of the Khmelnytsky region could become the center of an ultra-modern scientific and information space and the embodiment of innovative ideas and technologies. And that on the site of the old building of the Gorodotsky Museum of Local Lore it will be, as if breaking the boundaries of space and time, to majestically raise the futuristic G-MUSEUM building, sparkling with glass facades... The choice to implement the very concept of G-MUSEUM is not accidental, because it was on this land that an outstanding microbiome lived and worked from 1905 to 1917 Professor Serhiy Mykolaiovych Vynogradsky, Head of the Department of Agrobacteriology of the Pasteur Institute (France).
And it is thanks to the joint efforts of a family of patrons led by a native of the city. Gorodok, professor of medicine, President of Yuria-Pharm Corporation Mykola Ivanovich Humenyuk and local authorities, made possible the realization of the dreams of a great scientist with world fame, who even a century ago was quite concerned that the town really became flourishing and prosperous! The very idea of recreating the Gorodotsky Museum of Local Lore in Khmelnytskyi Oblast turned into the creation of a modern information and educational center G-MUSEUM, which has no analogues not only on the territory of Ukraine, but also in Europe itself. G-MUSEUM, which is not only ahead of its time, but in general, apparently, is out of time, like the thoughts and activities of the ideological inspirer Professor Sergey Nikolayevich Vinogradsky. The G-MUSEUM concept is rooted in the past, passing the modern present and boldly heading into an innovative future.
And this is exactly what G-MUSEUM guests feel, opening its doors and immersing themselves in an incredible space of ideas and innovations, backed by modern technology and fantastic visuals. First of all, visitors are fascinated by one of the main expositions of the museum — a completely authentic reproduction of the laboratory of Professor Serhiy Vinogradsky at the Pasteur Institute of the last century, which makes it possible to fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the early 1900s. And thanks to the exceptional and one-of-a-kind and in the world wax figure of Sergei Nikolayevich, a sense of personal presence of an outstanding microbiologist is created. It is also impossible not to note that some of the exhibits of the museum are truly unique archaeological artifacts covering the history of the city, starting from the time of the Trypillian culture, namely: a fragment of a clay figurine of a snake and an anthropomorphic figurine of IV-III thousand BC. The incredible collection of Copper-Stone Age culture was supplemented by an incredible jug — Korchaga granovyk, which was donated to G-MUSEUM by Professor of Medicine Humeniuk Halyna Lvivna. The period of the Scythian kingdom, the era of the Cossacks, including expositions of the restoration of the Cossack costume of the 17th century, and much more interesting.
Unique is also the structure of G-MUSEUM itself, which has taken it far beyond the limits of an ordinary museum. In the complex, in addition to the space of natural and historical expositions, there is also an “ART-Space” - a place for exhibitions of artists, master classes, holding various discussion formats.Especially worth noting “School of natural direction “Gorodok” - a social project of G-school, implemented by the public union “Up to future” with the support of the patron, Professor Mykola Humeniuk. G-school has a modern laboratory, where students of schools in the city of Gorodok, Khmelnytsky region have the opportunity to master the skills of applied work in the field of natural sciences and consciously make a choice of future specialty. Also, the public union “Up to future” in partnership with G-MUSEUM implements the G-hub social project, which aims to develop a national network of start-up teams of natural sciences from students and young scientists of domestic universities. After all, our future is precisely for talented young people, for the development and introduction of science and education among the younger generation!
