The first non-state museum of the Holocaust in Ukraine.Located on the street. Yaroslava Mudroho, 28 in m. Kharkiv, Ukraine. Created in 1996 on the basis of documents from the personal archive of its founder Larisa Volovyk]. The main mission of the museum is to identify and honor the residents of Kharkiv who saved Jews at the risk of their lives, and to transmit information about them to the Yad Va-Shem Museum. As of 2011, 88 righteous people of the world were found in Kharkiv. One of the Kharkov righteous was Alexandra Belova, who saved Jewish children, for which she was later shot. For students of universities and schools there are excursions. The museum contains about 3000 exhibits. The collection is constantly updated.
