Ivano-Frankivsk Museum of Local Lore

Museum of local lore in the city. Ivano-Frankivsk (Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ukraine), the largest collection of monuments from the history, ethnography and culture in general of the Precarpathian region. The opening of the future Ivano-Frankivsk Museum of Local Lore took place on May 1, 1940 in the building on the street. Galitskaya, 7 (now the library of the medical university, the modern address of Galitskaya, 7a). Departments worked here: historical, natural history, folk art. The museum funds numbered 10565 units of preservation, which included the collections of the Pokuta Museum, the Hutsulshchyna Museum in the village. Frog (now Verkhovyna) and some private collections. The museum had a collection of books and archives.
