Kagarlyk District State Historical and Local Lore Museum

Kagarlyk District State Historical and Local Lore Museum is a district state historical and local history museum in the city of Kaharlyk, collecting materials and objects from the history, life and culture of the Kaharlyk region.It is believed that the small house, which contains the museum, is historical and has more than 200 years of history — yes, it seems, its appearance as a hotel dates back to the end of the 18th century and here the friars of the Russian Empress Catherine II stopped, later there was a post station [1]. The Museum of Local Lore in Kaharlyk began as a public institution, and was established in 1974. Among the group of founders and persons who contributed to the creation and formation of the museum institution was the current long-term director of the museum Liubov Petrovna Tkachenko. It also replenishes the museum's funds, including through expeditions to the villages of Kagarlyk. She was also able to turn the museum into a methodological center for the creation of local lore and memorial places elsewhere in the area — the district museum now (2010) has about 10 branches - village branches [2] :Museum “Memory”, p. Now (May 2010) in 5 halls of the Kagarlyk Museum expositions are deployed: the first hall is dedicated to the natural wealth of the Kagarlyk region, here are paintings with landscapes of local landscapes mainly local artists; in the second hall (one of the largest museum), separate expositions have been created, highlighting the archaeological excavations in the region: the historical past of Kagarlyk, as well as part of the ethnographic collection on display; the third hall is dedicated to the exciting and tragic events of the first decades of the twentieth century century; a certain part of the square is devoted to an impressive collection of toys — these are mostly works of circles, which are already history; in the fourth hall there is an exposition dedicated to the German-Soviet war; the last (fifth) hall highlights the post-war events in the Kagarlyk district and the state in general: there are also expositions dedicated to the Afghan war, the Chernobyl tragedy, and the development of an independent Ukraine.
