Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum

Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum is located in a historic building (former Passage) in the very center of Kropyvnytskyi at the address:ul. Velyka Perspektivna, building 60, m. Kropyvnytskyy—25006 (Ukraine). The house that houses the museum (from 1991) was built at the turn of the XIX—XX centuries by order of the merchant I. Shpolyansky represents one of the brightest examples of the initial period of the Art Nouveau style. Its interior has a high artistic value.The funds of the Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum are mostly staffed by exhibits received from the State Hermitage (St. Petersburg), the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Kyiv National Art Gallery and the State Museum of Ukrainian Art, Directorates of art exhibitions of Ukraine, as well as works that were transferred later by famous artists native to the city and region. The collection of the regional art museum today exceeds 9 thousand items of the main fund.
