The Kyiv Regional Archaeological Museum actually started operating in May 2002, but its history began more than 80 years ago. On the way to creation, the museum overcame many obstacles and was reborn from the ruins of the Museum of Komsomol Glory. Back in 1933, a report was sent to the regional committee of LKSMU from the Kyiv Regional Inspector for the Protection of Cultural Monuments Konstantin Antipovich with the idea of organizing in the village. Tripilli Historical and Revolutionary Reserve dedicated to the events of 1919. It was in 1919. Trypillia became the capital of the self-proclaimed Republic of Trypili, led by Otaman Zelenyi (Danilo Terpylo), an indigenous Trypili who was declared a bandit by the Soviet authorities and tried to represent his actions in the peasant uprisings that engulfed Kiev in the worst possible way. The small museum, which was supposed to become the center of the reserve at the site of the main events, was never built, but in 1938 they installed a 26-meter obelisk made of black granite, which could be seen from Kiev. But the founder of the first museum was a local history teacher, an enthusiastic local historian. ziast — Semen Omelchenko. And although he was not a native triplet and was passionate about studying the history of the land that had become native. Therefore, in 1958 he created an exhibition dedicated to the history of the Komsomol of Kyiv region. On its basis in 1959, the first museum was opened in the village. Tripilli, which became a branch of the Kiev State Historical Museum. The old premises of the school were given over to the museum, which, despite its small size, had 4 halls representing the history of the Civil and Second World War, the history of the reconstruction of Trypillya in the post-war years and the Komsomol of Kyiv region. Every year the museum received almost 20 thousand visitors, in addition, materials for it became more and more and they simply did not fit. We decided to expand the museum and build a new room. Now the museum includes 7 branches located in the Kiev region: the Museum of Combat Glory (universal school of s. Trypillya); museum of V. Needles and the museum of I. Franka (s. Khalepya); Museum of Cossack and Art Gallery (p. Germanivka); Anatoly Solovyanenko Museum and Museum of Local Lore (Kozyn); Archaeological and Local Lore Museum (p. Kopachiv); historical and local history museum (p. Pine). Every day the museum life becomes more active, attracting new and new visitors.
