Makarov Historical and Local Lore Museum is a historical and local history museum in the center of the community of the Kyiv region in Makarovi; collection of materials and objects from the history, culture and personalities of the former Makarov district.The museum in Makarov was founded as Makarov Historical Museum in 1967 [1]. Currently (2000s) in the Makarov Historical and Local Lore Museum there are the following expositions [2]: Makarov region in the Middle Ages; Haidamak movement in Makarov region; Makarov region in the period 1905—1917. ; Makarovshchyna during the German-Soviet War of 1941—1945; the post-war period in the life of the district; the life and activities of the prominent church figure Dimitry Rostovsky (Dmitry Tuptalo). Since February 1, 2016, the director of the museum is candidate of historical sciences Vitaly Gedz.
