The museum, dedicated to the life and work of the outstanding figure of the Ukrainian theater Mark Kropyvnytskyi, is located in the city of Kropyvnytsky.The museum operates as a department of the regional local history museum.The exposition of the museum consists of several sections telling about the family of the playwright and actor, about his childhood and studies in gymnasium and university, about his long and difficult path in art as the founder of the first professional Ukrainian theater (Theater of the Conquerors). Relics are respectfully kept in the museum — documents, photographs, memorial items, theatrical posters telling about the life and work of M. L. Kropyvnytskyi is a theater reformer, actor, director, playwright, composer, singer, teacher. Numerous thematic exhibitions, which are constantly organized by the creative team of the institution with the participation of other institutions, state authorities, museum collections, local historians and museum experts, etc., reflect the continuation of the traditions of curiotics in the modern theater.
