Museum “Underground and partisan movement in the Nikolaev area during the Great Patriotic War.”

The Museum “Underground and Partisan Movement in the Nikolaev area during the Great Patriotic War. 1941-1944” hospitably opened its doors to visitors on April 29, 1975. The old house of the late 19th century, in which the museum is located, is a monument of history and architecture.A memorial plaque installed on the facade of the house indicates that in 1941-1943 the outstanding scout Hero of the Soviet Union V.O. Liagin. The exposition of the museum is located in one hall and reveals the main periods of the Second World War in the Nikolaev area in 1941-1944. Summons from the military commissariat, military tickets, postal cards from the front, certificates of injuries, military equipment and weapons, map of the defense of the region testify to the wall the courage and heroism of our compatriots in the battles from the first months of the war, show the resilience and courage of the soldiers of the 18th and 9th armies of the Southern Front under the command of Generals A.K. Smirnova and Y.P. Shoychenko, who held the defense of the region until August 17, 1941.
