The museum room “Vasyl Symonenko's office” is dedicated to the life and work of the Ukrainian poet Vasily Andriyovich Symonenko. Housed in the editorial office of the newspaper “Cherkasy Krai” (former “Cherkaska Pravda”), where he worked in the city of Cherkasy from July 1957 to March 1960. The museum room was opened on January 8, 1998 by decision of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration from February 24, 1997. Exposition was located in the corridor and in the former office of Vasyl Symonenko and tells about the life path and work of the poet and journalist. Here are photos, documents, letters that he received and wrote to contributors while working in the letters department.Personal belongings of the poet, manuscripts of his works, a notebook with working notes, an application for joining the Union of Writers of Ukraine, and photos taken by I. F. Osadchy, fellow photographer. In separate showcases are exhibited works by V. Simonenko both in the language of the originals and translations. Memories of the poet, his friends and like-minded people are also collected here. In the museum there are personal belongings of Vasily Symonenko, transferred by his mother - a cloak, a hat, a pen, books. Here, the study itself is recreated, where the memorial items that the young journalist used while working in the editorial office are presented.
