Museum of Astronautics in Ukraine, in the city. Zhytomyr is the birthplace of the Ukrainian Soviet scientist in the field of rocket building and astronautics — Sergey Pavlovich Korolev. In the center of the exposition, in a pool with water symbolizing life, the Bible is a symbol of wisdom. The exposition presents a unique collection of samples of space technology., equipment, equipment of astronauts, as well as documents, photographs, souvenirs on space topics. A separate thematic complex consists of museum items that relate to the development of cosmonautics in Ukraine.In 1987, the institution became an independent museum and received the name “Zhytomyr Museum of Astronautics named after him. S. P. Korolev”. At the end of September 2021, the Department of Regional Development of the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration announced a tender for the development of the project documentation “Repair and restoration work of the house of the National Museum of Cosmonautics named after Sergey Pavlovich Korolev”.
