“The Scientific and Educational Museum of Sexual Cultures of the World is the only museum on the territory of Ukraine that conducts educational and educational activities in the field of sexual relations, based on sexual cultures of different countries of the world.
The museum consists of ten halls. Each hall is dedicated to the sexual culture of a particular country: Greece, Rome, India, Japan, China, countries of Europe, America and Africa, Ukraine also has its own corner in one of the rooms. There is a separate hall dedicated to sexual deviations (deviations in sexual development), modern sexual culture and a teenage hall, which contains materials on anatomy, psychology and physiology and human sexual behavior, where lectures on sexual education of adolescents are held.
The first Museum of Sexual Cultures of the World in Eastern Europe opened in 1999. The creation of such a museum was initiated by the teachers of the Department of Sexology of the Kharkiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. The basis of the museum's exposition fund was the private collection of Professor Valentyn Valentinovich Kryshtal.
Most of the exhibits are the professor's personal collection.
Employees of the Department of Sexology of the Kharkiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education were engaged directly in the organization of the museum.

In principle, there are no such museums in the world. There are museums of eroticism, but there are no museums where all the sexual cultures of the world are collected together. The main task of the scientific and educational museum is to show how primitive instincts turn into love.
