“Museum of Miniatures “" Castles of Ukraine "” is an unusual place that leaves an indelible impression on visitors. It attracts not only children, but also adults with its beauty and originality. Miniature models of castles, fortresses, palaces and stations amaze with their detail and realism. The location of the museum is also attractive - it is located in the open air, among natural decor, which creates a special atmosphere. The museum staff is always polite and ready to provide the necessary information. In addition, the museum has the opportunity to take an audio guide that will help you learn more about each castle and its history. It is also worth noting the opportunity to visit the museum at night, when each miniature of the castle glows, creating an unusual effect.
The Museum of Miniatures “" Castles of Ukraine "” in Kamianets-Podilskyi presents 21 miniature models of the most famous architectural monuments of Ukraine, including medieval fortresses and aristocratic palaces located in different regions of Ukraine.
The open-air museum gives you the opportunity to get acquainted with everyone at once, learn the details of their history, interesting facts, secrets and legends, as well as appreciate the work of Kiev masters who accurately conveyed the smallest details of the buildings.Look inside the crypt, see what is being done behind the fortress wall or count all the turrets? We can say that we can bypass the whole of Ukraine. After all, in a small area you can see the castles of western Ukraine, by the way, their largest, as well as central and eastern.
The Kiev studio “Art-Maket” worked on the creation of miniature castles, the works of the masters of which are famous outside Ukraine. Each layout was made by hand from plastic and covered with a special paint. It takes from two to four months to make one lock. For the longest time, the pearl of the museum was made - the Kamianets-Podolsk fortress.
I wanted local residents to have a pleasant time contemplating their native fortress. In addition, it can be compared with the original, which is visible in the distant future. By the way, our fortress, like others, is somewhat different from the original. After all, the masters showed them in their heyday, and to this day in reality all the buildings of a castle have not always been preserved. Some are in general decline, such as Petrovsky Castle in the Odessa region. Now only the entrance arch and the back stairs remain from it, - the guide speaks. - Therefore, the goal of our museum is to show the majestic history of Ukraine and the power of the former fortification architecture that protected our ancestors.
Layout scale: 1:40 or 1:50. There is a plaque next to each with a name and a brief description. The layouts fit perfectly into the landscape. For example, there is a pond with goldfish, which serves as the Dniester for the Khotyn fortress, and for the Belgorod-Dnestrov stronghold — the Dniester estuary, on the shore of which it actually stands. A bridge leads to the Kamianets-Podilsky castle through Smotrich, as in reality, and the South Bug flows near the Medzibizhsky fortress.
Museum of miniatures “Castles of Ukraine” is a great place for family holidays and for spending time with friends. Here you will not only enjoy the beauty and diversity of Ukrainian castles, but also get unforgettable impressions and positive emotions. Do not miss the opportunity to visit this unique museum, which will open new horizons and interest you in Ukrainian history and culture.”
