Zamkova St, 40
The museum is opened in the recreated architectural monument of Sir. XV century — the defensive yard of the Vnukky family, the first written mention of which dates from 1454. The defensive yard is located on the slope of the mountain in the western part of the village. Fridays are a characteristic fortification of the cape type. The tower was one of the elements of the defense complex, which arose during the historical route Galich - Kholm. Presumably it was to be a border guard castle, a number of which are known in the Holm defense system. There are four tiers of the structure: the basement, which served as a chamber for the submarine bridge; the first, through which they entered the territory of the castle; the second, the entrance to which was from the courtyard by external stairs; the third, from which there was an exit to the wooden gallery.
On May 18, 1995, the Friday Tower was opened as a museum. The exposition of the museum is located on the second and third tiers of the stone gateway tower. Archaeological finds from the territory of the former defense yard, a map of defense construction and famous samples of military architecture of the period of the Galician-Volyn principality are exhibited. The main bridge has been restored on the monument, which rises according to the principle of counterweight. The exposition presents the project of the reconstruction of the bridge, the course of restoration works on the monument is presented (in photos)
