The collection of the Zaporizhzhya Museum of Local Lore has more than 100 thousand units of storage.The main exposition presents the history of the region from ancient times to the present, shows its nature, life and life of the Zaporizhzhya Cossacks. Archaeological, ethnographic, numismatics have great historical value collections, herbaria, antiques. Among the collections: paleontological remains of animals of the Neogene and Anthropogenic periods; archaeological finds from the Zaporizhzhya mound; Sarmatian jewelry; insect collections; stuffed animals of rare birds; weapons and household items of Zaporizhzhya Cossacks. Separate exhibition hall “Nestor Makhh No and His Time” is dedicated to the events of the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917—1921 in the steppes of Zaporizhia.
